How to Download Twitter Videos Online in HD
A step-by-step guide to downloading videos from public X/Twitter posts, choosing an available quality, and troubleshooting unsupported links.
X/Twitter posts can contain several versions of the same video. The platform selects one while streaming, but a downloader can list the MP4 variants that are available for a public post so you can choose the quality you need.
Download a Twitter video online
First, open the X/Twitter post that contains the video and copy its URL from the address bar or share menu. Next, open the Xhancer Twitter video downloader, paste the URL, and select Download Video. When multiple variants are available, choose the resolution that fits your use.
The link should contain the post author's handle, /status/, and a numeric post ID. Both current x.com URLs and older twitter.com URLs are supported.
Choosing video quality
Higher resolution usually gives a sharper image but creates a larger file. Choose 1080p or 720p when it is available and visual quality matters. A 480p or 360p version can be more practical for quick reference, limited storage, or slower connections.
Not every post provides every resolution. The downloader can only show variants supplied for that public post; it cannot create a true higher-resolution source that does not exist.
Why a download may fail
The most common causes are an incomplete URL, a post without video, a deleted post, or a protected account. Age and regional restrictions can also affect availability. Copy the canonical post URL again and confirm that the post opens while signed out before retrying.
If the post contains photos or you want to read its text first, use the general Twitter viewer to inspect all supported media attached to the post.
Copyright and responsible use
Technical access does not transfer ownership. Download videos you created, content whose creator has granted permission, or material you are otherwise legally allowed to use. Keep attribution when required and do not republish a creator's work in a misleading context.
Rules vary by jurisdiction and purpose, so consider the applicable copyright, privacy, and platform rules before distributing a downloaded file. The tool is intended to simplify access to public media, not to remove the rights of its creator.
Quick checklist
Use a complete public post URL, confirm that the post contains a video, choose one of the actually available qualities, and save the MP4 file. If the source is private, deleted, or restricted, respect that boundary rather than looking for a purported bypass.
